The adding of the suffixes able/ ible mean “can be”

To read                                         readable / unreadable

To break                                       breakable / unbreakable

To debate                                    debatable / undebatable

NOTE :  Readable      =   can be read

              unreadable   =   can’t be read

              edible            =   can be eaten

              unedible       =   can’t be eaten
